For a leading manufacturer of wafer processing tools and the Eindhoven University of Technology a 20x40Mbit serial communications controller interface was designed, implemented and verified within a timeframe of 2.5 months. Using a combination of Matlab, Simulink, dSPACE, Xilinx tooling and HDLWorks EASE toolchains a modular design implementing a register interface twenty different bidirectional 40MBit serial protocal drivers was realized, including CRC checking, frameforming, error-handling and out-of-band signalling parser.
Executive Engineering was part of this project from specification definition through soft and firmware development and final factory acceptance testing.
